This analyst position presents exposure to Webster Bank's Treasury function, which is responsible for managing the bank's balance sheet by overseeing asset and liability management, capital, funding, liquidity, and portfolio management. The Portfolio Management team is responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies to align the bank's investment portfolio with strategic goals and the economic environment. The analyst will be expected to meaningfully contribute to projects and tasks while working closely with teams across the bank including accounting, compliance, corporate responsibility, credit risk, internal audit, legal, operations, and tax.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Assisting with securities trade execution
• Assisting with investment portfolio reporting
• Assisting with governance of other bank permissible investments
• Assisting with governance of BOLI
• Assisting with risk management responsibilities
• Assessing current economic and market trends and impact on portfolio strategy
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of banking industry, economics, fixed income, regulatory requirements
• Resourceful, organized, and proactive
• Demonstrated high attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Bloomberg and Yieldbook Proficiency is a plus
This role has a hybrid work schedule and can be based in our NYC location.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $110,000 USD to $120,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
